COURSE CURRICULUM

Month 1: BEGINNERS Level (Session 1 to 8)

● Drawing Female Frontal Figure Template using a 9-head proportion.
● Drawing Female Back Figure Template using a 9-head proportion.
● Drawing Female Contrapposto Front and Back pose.
● Using the concepts of how the upper and lower body moves in contrast and then how to map the pose, using a 9-head figure proportion.
● Drawing Female Head-Front, Profile, Three-Quarter.
● Ink Drawing Female fashion faces and poses.
● Introduction to the various color mediums for rendering and corresponding techniques for better illustrations.
● Illustrating and Designing Swimwear and Activewear/Athleisurewear.
● Choosing the right pose for your design to communicate the intended look and attitude of the clothing.
● Understanding the concept of discovering your sketching voice.

Month 2: INTERMEDIATE Level (Session 9 to 16)

● Drawing and rendering garment details: side pleats, ruffle pleats, smocking, textures, folds, etc.
● Drawing and rendering various types of collars, cuff, skirts details
● Rendering and designing with animal prints.
● Rendering and designing with Velvet, Georgettes and Chiffons.
● Rendering and designing with animal Satin and other shiny fabrics.
● Rendering and designing with florals and geometric patterns.
● Rendering and designing with Stripes, Checks, Houndstooth, Plaids and classic patterns.
● Rendering and designing with sheer and opaque fabrics.
● Rendering and designing with Sequins and Embroidered Motifs.
● Rendering and sketching with advanced blending, cross hatching techniques.

Month 3: ADVANCED Level (Session 17 to 24)

● Sketch and Render different handbags using color pencil and marker medium. Also get acquainted with classic designer bags like Chanel 2.0, Hermes Kelly bag and their designers
● Sketch and Render a fabulous variety of shoes in interesting textiles and fabrications using markers and colored pencils. Also get acquainted with popular shoe designers like Monolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and their classic creations.
● Sketch and Render intricate Ethnic and Western jewelry. Also get an understanding of famous Indian and International jewelry designs and designers like Harry Winston, Cartier, Tiffany,Etc.
● Kidswear Module: Sketching and Rendering toddlers, tweens, teenagers Croquis and designing for kidswear.
● Menswear Module: Sketching and Rendering Male Croquis and designing for Menswear. Also, get acquainted with the top International Menswear Designers and their signature styles.
● Stylized Croquis Development
● Finding your Sketching Voice: how to personalize your illustration to a style that fits your creative aesthetic.
● Advanced Watercolor Module: how to map the gesture and then how to use your brush and watercolor to create the most amazing fashion illustration. We will teach you various brush stroke techniques, how to apply pressure on the brush for various effects and how to use the point of the brush for detailed work.
● Learning Advanced Fashion Illustration Techniques with various mediums.

Month 4: PROFESSIONAL Level (Session 25 to 32)

● Design Process and Development: How to take inspiration and design your own collection.
● Understanding and Development of Inspiration boards, Moods boards, Color boards, etc
● Understanding Fashion Forecasting and how to correctly implement upcoming trends and forecasts in your collection.
● Introduction to Embroidery and Surface ornamentation development and creating the corresponding boards through design process.
● Presentation of your design process
● Western Couture Module: Sketching and Rendering Western Couture Outfits and understanding the works and signature style of top International Designers
● Indian Couture Module: Sketching and Rendering Indian Couture and Bridal Outfits and understanding works and signature of top Indian Designers.
● Mood Drawing and Compositions
● Portfolio Development: How to assemble your portfolio?

Bonus Sessions with Siddhi Mapxencar

Design Process Mentorship session:

You will learn how to ideate and create your own collection. Siddhi will take you through the design process of her Lakme Fashion Week Collection right from ideation to designs on ramp.

How to launch your Fashion Label?

Siddhi will give a systematic framework as to how to foray into fashion and continuously churn out beautiful collection from her own industry experience of 15 years.
